Mai Chau

The beautiful Mai Chau valley is just 150 km from Hanoi, but it feels very different. This peaceful place is filled with rice paddies and fields, with gentle mountains in the background. Most people here belong to the White Thai ethnic group, and there are also other communities nearby, like Xa Linh in H’mong Village. The homes are made of wood and bamboo, fitting perfectly into the landscape. Farming and weaving are common trades that attract visitors. The warm hospitality of the local families makes Mai Chau a charming and welcoming place to visit.

Mong & Hmong People

Exploring the Pu Luong Nature Reserve by bicycle is an excellent way to experience the charming village life of the Mong and H’mong people. As you ride through the peaceful surroundings, you’ll come across traditional villages and see locals going about their daily routines. It’s common to spot women weaving colorful textiles beneath their stilted homes, and children playing in the nearby streams. You’ll also see farmers tending to their fields alongside their water buffalo, giving you a true glimpse into the region’s agricultural lifestyle.
