The beautiful Mai Chau valley is just 150 km from Hanoi, but it feels very different. This peaceful place is filled with rice paddies and fields, with gentle mountains in the background. You can hear the sounds of nature, like birds singing, buffalo lowing, chickens clucking, and kids laughing. Although Mai Chau is now a popular vacation spot, it still has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Surrounded by green hills, the town relies on its fields for farming. In spring, the fields are full of plants, and in autumn, they turn a lovely shade of gold. Most people here belong to the White Thai ethnic group, and there are also other communities nearby, like Xa Linh in H’mong Village. The homes are made of wood and bamboo, fitting perfectly into the landscape. Farming and weaving are common trades that attract visitors. The warm hospitality of the local families makes Mai Chau a charming and welcoming place to visit.
